Services

We provide a comprehensive set of services to support any aspect of electrofishing. All our work is carried out to meet the latest UK Environment Agency standards for electrofishing equipment.

On Site & Workshop Testing

Due to the harsh operating conditions that electrofishing equipment is typically subjected to and the importance of operator safety, regular testing of electrofishing equipment is vital.

We can carry out testing of electrofishing equipment to Environment Agency standards on site anywhere in the UK and at our workshops.

Testing can be carried out on all common makes of electrofishing equipment including control boxes, back packs, anodes, cathodes and generators.

All electrofishing machines are fully tested in all aspects of operation, including load testing. Test Certificates can be issued for periods of 3 months to 1 year depending on usage of the equipment.

It is strongly advised that equipment is tested at least annually (recommended every 3 months for Environment Agency machines).

Regular testing (at least annually) is a condition of the warranty provided with new Electrafish equipment.

Servicing, Repairs and Upgrades

We provide a comprehensive service, repair and upgrade service at our workshops for all our equipment.

With regular maintenance, Electrafish electrofishing equipment will continue to provide many years of service. There are numerous examples of electrofishing equipment built in Wolverhampton by Alec Wortley that remains fully operational after over 20 years.

Electrafish are proud of our reputation for maintaining older equipment in full working order.

In many cases, older equipment can be upgraded to meet the latest safety and operational standards. These services contribute to our policy of reducing waste and consequent environmental impact wherever possible.

Please contact us if you would like an estimate for repairing or upgrading your existing electrofishing equipment.

A wide range of parts are kept in stock at our workshops for faster turnaround of repairs.
